We were greeted with warm weather and a cloudless sky on our first day in San Francisco. Making the most of the weather, after meeting our friends Janet & Sally from Long Beach CA, we took a tram to Fishermans Wharf to pick up a couple of bikes at Blazing Saddles.
We took a route along the shoreline, towards the bridge, following the cycle track. We past a beach and park where people were taking advantage of the sunshine.
Stopping a while to watch a dog trainer with a group of Goldens being put through their paces.
Fronting the beach was a row of beach houses, very well preserved and each with fantastic views of the bay and bridge.
We had lovely views of the bridge and bay, with such a clear day, we felt very lucky to be able to see it in such beautiful weather.
There was a steep cycle from the cycle track to the bridge entrance, but once on the top it was well worth the effort.
It was quite busy on the bridge but we managed to avoid all pedestrians and other cyclists. It was down hill all the way into Sausalito

We had clear views of the bridge on our mini cruise back to the mainland.
We had a lot of fun in the Mechanical Museum, using up our quarters and dimes in the old fashioned slot machines.
Della got electrocuted,
Sally found 'Laughing Sally'
Tracy tested her strength against the Strong Man
& Janet found pleasure in beating someones wife!
Lots of fun was had. We had ice creams on the way home and after such a packed and energetic day, we turned in early to recharge our batteries for the next fun filled day.
